Spring 2025 Writers' Lab
Meets Online, Thursday Nights, January–April 2025
This class is for any writer who could use a shot of inspiration and play, along with deadlines and a chance to connect with community. We will do a mix of generative writing sessions, short craft talks, explorations of published work, along with two chances to workshop. The class is for both those who want the structure and support to write a new story (or two) from scratch, and also for those who might be on draft 15 of their novel and want to reconnect with their sense of creative possibility, while maintaining forward momentum in their project.
Limited to 8 writers, we will spend several sessions in the space of exploration and generation, before having the chance to workshop each others' work.

This Class Offers:
-
Short craft talks and discussions of published work
-
Generative writing prompts and chances to explore based on that weeks' topic
-
2 deadlines/opportunities to submit work for thoughtful and supportive workshop feedback
-
Line notes and editorial letter from me for each workshop submission
-
One-on-one conference with me
-
An intimate group of 8 writers to foster supportive community
Cost
The cost of the class is $325/month, or $1250 if you pay up front.

Latinx Writers Grant
I'm so pleased to announce that, due to generous funding from a former student and colleague, we are able to offer a grant to support one Latinx writer who is not currently enrolled in a degree-granting creative writing program. It will cover the full cost of one spot in this workshop, and the potential for additional forms of writing support from the funder of the grant.

If you would like to apply for this grant, just say "yes" on question 4 when you apply for the class, and add a few sentences about how a grant would be helpful to you at this moment of your writing journey.
